Katarina Wieczorek
She graduated from the conservatoire in Bratislava (Slovakia) where she was in Professor Josef Zsapka's guitar class. She continued her musical education in the College of Arts in Bratislava and then in the Academy of Music in Katowice (Poland) in a guitar class under the tutelage of Professor Alina Gruszka. She graduated in 1991. She participated in master courses run by Ichiro Suzuki, Stepan Rak, David Tanenbaum and Grant Gustafson. At present she teaches in the National Secondary School of Music in Katowice.
Franciszek Wieczorek
He graduated from the National Secondary School of Music in Katowice (Poland) under tutelage of Professor Alina Gruszka. In 1990, he finished the Academy of Music in Katowice, also under Professor Gruszka. He received second award in Composer Interpretation at the Silesian Guitar Autumn - guitar festival in Tychy (Poland) in 1988. He attended master courses run by Ichiro Suzuki, Vladimir Mikulka and Grant Gustafson. From 1990 to 2005 he had been a teacher at the Academy of Music in Katowice. At present he teaches in the National Secondary School of Music in Katowice. He is a leader of Silesian Guitar Octet.

They have performed in Czech, Slovakia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Hungary, Greece, Great Britain and Sweden. Apart from artistic performing, the Wieczoreks run the Concert Agency MODRAN. They are artistic directors of the International Guitar Festival in Zory as well as music publishers.
